Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Facilitator, operates production non-complex equipment, assembles, packages, inspect products, housekeeping, and monitoring of product quality on production and packaging lines in accordance with task instructions. Conduct on the job training of other associates. Participate in all team meetings, activities, team building initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. Follow approved procedures and in compliance with QSR, ISO 13485 and safety rules regulations.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
1. Following approved procedures and specifications, operates production equipment, assembles, packages and inspect products on-line.
2. Receives and verifies materials to be used in own operation to ensure that they conform to those listed in data forms and are duly approved for use.
3. During production, inspects own work to ensure that it complies with requirements stated in data forms. Removes any defective parts or product and notifies Manufacturing Facilitator immediately of any deviations observed.
4. Records data as required in neat, clear handwriting and ensures that information is accurate following GMP procedures.
5. Assist Shift Leader in raw material work in process and product reconciliation.
6. Assist Set-up Operator in equipment operation, changeover and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities and in resolving any routine issue to ensure smooth flow of production.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
8. Pursue ongoing goal of cost reductions.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned by Manufacturing Facilitator.
10. Ensures that own work is performed in compliance with QSR, ISO 13485. Education and
Experience:
1. High School Graduate.
2. Capable of reading and writing English/Spanish
3. Six months to one year experience in production work, preferably in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Able to communicate, be a team player, initiative.
2. Should be efficient and effective in the search of solutions.
3. Preferably bilingual (Spanish & English). Physical Demands: (if applicable)
1. Standing most part of the time.
2. Able to walk short distance frequently.
3. Light work, which requires at times carrying of up to twenty-five (25) pounds with appropriate equipment.
4. Able to bend and lift performing work activities.
