Description The City of Aiken Department of Public Safety is accepting applications for a Public Safety Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator. Examples of Duties Performs general fire and rescue duties to protect life and property Exercises sound judgment in performing driver/operator duties, fire suppression, and medical first responder tasks Operates and performs various maintenance duties on fire and rescue vehicles and equipment Minimum Qualifications Must have a valid S.C. driver's license High school diploma or equivalent is required and one (1) year of fire or related experience NFPA Firefighter Certification is preferred Supplemental Information This position is subject to a criminal background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities
