What is a top 1% typing speed?

Familiarity with word processing software like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and transcription or data entry systems is essential. You’ll often work independently, but you may also collaborate with team members like project managers, editors, or customer service representatives. This role is well-suited for individuals who are detail-oriented and enjoy focused, repetitive tasks that require concentration and consistency.

Is 90 WPM a good typing speed?

For a 90 WPM typing speed, this is considered above average and suitable for many data entry, transcription, and administrative roles that require fast and accurate typing. Employers often look for speeds of 60-80 WPM, so 90 WPM demonstrates strong proficiency and efficiency in typing tasks.

Is typing 150 WPM possible?

Typing 150 WPM is highly uncommon and generally considered beyond typical human capabilities, even for professional typists. Most skilled typists average between 60 and 100 WPM, and reaching 150 WPM would require exceptional speed and accuracy, often only achievable through specialized training and extensive practice.
