Job description
Responsibilities
- Operate a diverse selection of trucks [i.e., medium duty trucks (<26,001 lbs GVWR), dump trucks, tractor trailers, etc.) to transport materials and waste to Landfill and DLA.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, and follow all DOT, OSHA, and installation safety rules
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment and techniques
- Coordinate with supervisor to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with general support tasks as assigned
- Comply with installation access and security requirements
- Stage, load, and transport items to DLA and post landfill
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and system updates (Tonnage Reports, DPAS, LMP)
- Assist with general support tasks and other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver's license.
- Valid and Current CDL A (with air brakes endorsement).
- Two years of successful experience operating a tractor trailer.
- Clean driving record for past seven years.
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
- Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation results, obtain and maintain a CAC.
- Ability to pass security screening, which is completed for access to Arms, Ammunition, & Explosives (AA&E) storage and accountability rosters.
- Commitment to safe and compliant transportation operations.
- Trustworthy, reliable, committed to high quality transportation services.
- Mission-Oriented.
- Forklift/MHE operation certification (OF 346) preferred.
