East Noble School CorporationEast Noble School Corporation is accepting applications for the following positions: Substitute Nurse
Substitute Nurses will work as needed to backfill absences of the regular nursing staff, Monday through Friday, when school is in session.
Substitute Nurses will backfill regular nurse shifts in either 4 hour increments in the AM or PM of the regular school day for half day regular nurse absences
OR in 8 hour increments for full day regular nurse absences.
License required: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
Qualifications:
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of current practices for common childhood illness and chronic disease i.e. asthma management, diabetes, insulin pen and pumps, seizure management
  • Ability to perform skilled nursing care such as catheterization, suctioning, tube feedings, insulin administration via insulin pen, insulin administration via pump

Starting pay: LPN, $23.68 or RN, $28.82

Primary Role: To provide primary health and emergency care to students and staff, promote wellness and serve as a resource for health concerns in a school setting.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Administers medication and treatments to students and staff
  • Provides care for student and staff illness and accidents
  • Administers care based on individual health care plans and individual emergency care plans
  • Documents all encounters on clinic log and Medical Administration records
  • Follows communicable disease control procedures and informs administration/ lead nurse and parents regarding school exclusion and readmission
  • Provides Diabetic Care (primary and emergency) to students following the diabetic care plan provided by the nurse, doctor, and parent.
  • Head lice screenings as warranted
