Seeking: Academic Coach - Tutor
Location: Houston, TX (Multiple Sites: High Need in 77054 & 77051).
Pay: $25.00 per hour | Weekly Pay.
Schedule: Part-Time | Monday–Thursday | Approx. 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Start times vary by site: 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM).
Employment Type: Part-Time.

Help Students Build Confidence, Skills, and Academic Success:
Openwork is seeking dedicated and compassionate Academic Coaches to support youth and young adults (ages 14–21) currently in or aging out of foster care. Operating primarily at Residential Treatment Centers, you will provide personalized academic support and help participants build essential executive functioning skills like time management, organization, and study strategies.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide individualized and group tutoring/coaching to youth in foster care across assigned Houston-area locations (primarily 77054 and 77051 zip codes).
  • Support students with school assignments and executive functioning skill development.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student attendance and academic progress.
  • Ensure all required registration forms and student assessments are current.
  • Attend scheduled meetings, program events, and required quality/consistency trainings.
  • Execute a proprietary agreement upon onboarding.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; some college coursework considered.
