Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery
Facility: Dallas Regional Medical Center (DRTX)
Address: 1011 North Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, TX, 75149
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 18:45 - 07:00
Pay Rate: $56/hr (W2) | $60/hr (1099)
 
Position Summary:
Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term contract assignment. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This is a backfill role for a traveler not extending.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care in a labor and delivery setting
  • Monitor fetal and maternal status and respond appropriately to changes
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency situations
  • Administer medications and manage IVs as per physician orders
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
  • Maintain accurate charting and documentation using EPIC
  • Follow infection control protocols, including when caring for COVID-positive patients
Requirements:
  • Current and valid RN license (State of Texas)
  • Certifications Required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Certification in Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
    • Experience in postpartum care and vaginal exams
