Kansas City, MO
 
Flynn is seeking to hire a Architectural Metals Foreman through the UNION Local 2!
 
Job Summary:
Work as part of the Roofing Production team to BUILD and LEAD our new roof related sheet metal crew installing copings, gutters, edge metals, counter flashings, etc. Manage project directions and timely completion of jobs.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the architectural metals crew installing metal panels, copings, gutters, edge metals, counter flashings, and related roof-edge components.
  • Plan daily work activities, ensuring crews have clear direction, materials, and equipment needed to meet project goals.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and roofing teams to align schedules, resolve issues, and maintain workflow.
  • Abide by and enforce safety standards and procedures
  • Train and provide guidance to the team
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Seeking a current Foreman or Journeyman in a lead position, wanting opportunity for growth.   
  • 5+ years of experience with architectural metals in a commercial/industrial setting is required
  • Must be at journeyman level in a current union or willing to join the Local 2 in K.C. 
  • Skilled in installation of metal coping and cap metal for commercial roof edges and parapet walls
  • Experience with layout, measuring, soldering, fastening, and mitering metal materials
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Able to fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, anchor/fasten various kind of metal materials 
  • Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record (MVR screening)
