POSITION TITLE: AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WORKER
180 Day Calendar
$14.57 an hour

RESPONSIBLE TO: After School Program Site Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develop, plan, and implement a variety of age appropriate activities for After School Program Students.
Supervise After School Program students at all times. Appropriately discipline After School Program students. Model appropriate behavior for all After School Program students. Treat all After School Program students with fairness, respect, and dignity. Notify After School Program site coordinator the day before an absence from work. Assist in snack distribution. Accurately complete forms, records, time sheets, and reports. Supervise students' completion of homework. Supervise students' leaving the facility. Perform all other duties as assigned by the After School Program site coordinator.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary training in child development or related field or one year experience in child care education or recreation. CPR / AED/ First AID certification preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proficiency required in oral and written communications, supervising students, organizing activities, and keeping accurate records.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with school age children and at least one year experience in child care, education, or recreation.
