Position Summary:

This position operates under the supervision of a center Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) or Medical Doctor (MD) for staffing purposes. This position provides assessments and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. This position works to provide mental health, addictions, and behavioral health clinical treatment/diagnosis within scope of practice as defined by degree and license. This position is responsible for participating in treatment planning with the center psychiatrist and client, reporting client progress to appropriate referral source, and maintain adequate and timely documentation. This position operates under minimal supervision and must exercise tact, judgment, and confidentiality in contact with the public, clients, and families, as well as fellow associates of the Center. Work is very broad in scope and requires a high level of professionalism.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide individual, group, family therapeutic services, and case management as needed to clients.
  • To provide client contacts and meet assigned agency encounter expectation.
  • Meet with the client and their family (if appropriate) as outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Complete client assessments that include intake, evaluating a client's ability to meet the admission criteria for that particular department, identify presenting problem(s), history, medical information, family involvement, psychosocial/psychosexual information, and other pertinent information to form an appropriate clinical impression including substance use/abuse and abuse/neglect.
  • Complete a treatment plan, which accurately reflects the client's needs and ability to meet discharge criteria with goals and objectives that are time limited and behaviorally stated.
  • Ensure treatment plans receive all appropriate and necessary approvals and staffed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure treatment plans are updated prior to expiration.
  • Document timely, accurately and in accordance with Center policies utilizing current systems and practices.
  • Complete the case consult, transfer, and discharge summary processes according to agency policy and provide any referral source information according to the needs of the referral source.
  • Complies with the supervision policy specific to licensed professionals (LP) and licensing expectation policy specific to continuing education of the Center.
  • Completes all necessary and required monthly progress reports and ensures appropriate care coordination.
  • Document accurate information, which reflects client progress based on the appropriate therapeutic modality. Therapeutic services will be time limited and specific to the presenting problem(s) of each assigned client.
  • Provide progress reports to referral sources as needed for each individual client. This includes completing timely monthly reports to DCS, probation, courts, and other external entities as well as completion of Individualized Recovery Plan Budget forms for Recovery Works as applicable.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate documentation and paperwork is in place before providing services.
  • Provide emergency services assessments/crisis intervention and referral as needed.
  • Be on-call for emergency services, during business hours, on designated days and provide coverage for other clinicians if emergency services days coincides with PTO request.
  • Provide crisis intervention in clinics that do not have Emergency Services on-call systems when needed.
  • Be available for treatment team meetings as needed for clients in multiple treatment programs.
  • Attend continuing education seminars pertaining to the specific population served, and to maintain licensure.
  • Provide telehealth treatment when needed.
  • Understand Center policy as it pertains to client care.
  • Abide by all Center policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive working relations and rapport with the communities served.

Additional Compensation and Incentive Opportunities:

  • Four-day (32 hour) work week
  • 8 hours of Admin / Care Coordination time per week
  • Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment, available at hire
  • Continuing Education Units for licensure renewal supported
  • Clinical Supervision provided as part of the work week (pre and post licensure)

  • Earn $750 for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 months and receive an additional $500 every year as long as you both remain employed

Requirements:

Education and Licensure:

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field (MSW, MS, MA) required.

Experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of appropriate therapeutic practices preferred if directline staff.

Other:

In accordance with State Law, Licensed Outpatient Therapist must possess one or more ofthe following credentials:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
