Position Summaryย 

The Office Manager is the operational backbone of the 49 Financial Austin flagship office. This part-time, on-site roleย is responsible forย keeping the office running smoothly โ€” from managing supplies and technology to hosting events and serving as the go-to resource for employees and vendors. The ideal candidate brings warmth, reliability, and a proactive mindset to create an environment where the team can do their best work.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

Hospitality & Eventsย 

  • Plan and host monthly office events and celebrations that build culture and community.ย 

  • Partner with the Event Planner on monthly event execution, including food ordering, setup, on-site support, and cleanup.ย 

  • Prepare and host firm-wide and HQ meetings held at the Austin office, including room setup, materials, and day-of coordination.ย 

Office Operationsย 

  • Monitor and replenish office supplies, kitchen snacks, stationery, and equipment on an ongoing basis.ย 

  • Maintain organization and storage systems throughout the office.ย 

  • Manage building access cards for the Austin office.ย 

  • Coordinate with vendors to keep the office safe, clean, and well-maintained.ย 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office-related issues, responding to requests from employees and vendorsย in a timely manner.ย 

  • Communicate office needs and operational updates to senior management asย appropriate.ย 

Office Technologyย 

  • Ensure office technology โ€” including TVs, Zoom rooms,ย printers,ย Wi-Fi, and other equipment โ€” is functioning properly.ย 

  • Troubleshoot basic tech issues and escalate to theย appropriate resourceย when needed.ย

Qualificationsย 

  • Prior experience in office management, operations, or a similar role preferred.ย 

  • Comfort troubleshooting basic office technology, including TVs, Zoom rooms, and Wi-Fi.ย 

  • Strong hospitality mindset and interpersonal skills; natural ability to make people feel welcome.ย 

  • Available to work on-site Monday through Friday during normal business hours. While not all hours must be on-site, this role requires a consistent, predictable on-site presence each week to respond to office needs as they arise.ย 

Work Environmentย 

  • On-site at the Austin flagship officeย 

  • Occasional standing, walking, orย lifting upย to 25 poundsย 

  • Flexible schedule within a part-time 10โ€“15 hour per week frameworkย
