A Level or B+ Automotive Technician - $30-$45/hr - No Weekends

Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30-$45/hour + Overtime
Pay Type: Hourly (45-hour work week)
Pay Schedule: Weekly

We are hiring an A Level or Strong B+ Automotive Technician for a highly respected, family-owned independent repair shop in Baltimore, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and working on a wide variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete vehicle inspections using Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and provide accurate repair recommendations.
  • Diagnose and repair check engine lights, drivability concerns, HVAC systems, electrical systems, braking systems, steering systems, suspension systems, engine systems, transmission systems, and mechanical failures.
  • Utilize OBD-II diagnostic scanners, digital multimeters, and modern diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
  • Perform automotive diagnostics and verify component failures before recommending repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance including oil changes, factory scheduled maintenance, fluid services, and inspections when needed.
  • Road test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation.
  • Communicate findings clearly with the service team to help build accurate repair estimates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple vehicle systems.
  • Experience performing repairs on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair engine, electrical, HVAC, brake, steering, suspension, and transmission systems.
  • ASE Certifications preferred (ASE Master Certification highly valued).
  • Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and scan tools such as Autel and Snap-on is preferred.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated professional with excellent work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license required.
