Automotive Diagnostic Technician - $35-$45/hr Flat Rate - 40 Hr. Per Week Guarantee

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Norwood)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $35-$45/hour (Depending on Experience)

Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician for a well-established independent repair shop in Cincinnati, OH. This is an outstanding opportunity for an A-Level Technician who enjoys advanced automotive diagnostics, solving complex vehicle issues, and working on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced automotive diagnostics on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair engine performance, electrical systems, drivability concerns, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, and transmission systems.
  • Utilize factory-level diagnostic equipment and computerized scan tools to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
  • Perform check engine light diagnostics and develop accurate repair recommendations.
  • Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
  • Perform high-quality repairs efficiently while maximizing flagged hours.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair recommendations and vehicle conditions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of professional automotive technician experience.
  • Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Experience servicing all makes and models, including domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
  • Proficient with advanced diagnostic equipment and OBD-II diagnostic scanners.
  • Experience using Autel, Autologic, and other OEM scan tools preferred.
  • Experience using Tekmetric shop management and Digital Vehicle Inspection software is a plus.
  • ASE Certifications preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, engine performance, braking systems, suspension systems, steering systems, HVAC systems, and transmission systems.
  • Valid driver's license required.
