If so, we have the job for you! Standard Enterprises is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Sterlington, LA. We are seeking someone with an ambitious, self-starter attitude, reliable transportation, and previous maintenance/make-ready experience.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all make-readies, including removal of trash from vacant units, and performing minor electrical and plumbing repairs. Strong painting skills and drywall experience are a plus. HVAC experience is highly desirable. Great attention to detail is essential. Additional duties will be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • IMPORTANT — DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
  • 3+ years of previous maintenance/make-ready experience.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, push, and pull as needed.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle or power equipment when necessary.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. and work in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete service requests on time and report completion
  • Respond to emergencies and notify supervisor when needed
  • Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, etc.)
  • Assist with make-ready units and remove trash from vacant units
  • Keep property, parking lots, dumpster areas, and common spaces clean
  • Clean breezeways, remove cobwebs, and replace light bulbs
  • Maintain laundry and shop areas
  • Identify and report safety hazards
  • Assist team members with moving appliances
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Pay amp; Benefits

Pay: $16.00- $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
