Job description

Role: Sr. Consultant, OpenShift Virtualization (Red Hat Certified Specialist)

Location: Remote

Duration: 4+ month

About the Role

We're looking for a senior consultant with a current Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Virtualization credential to lead a virtualization migration and platform effort. This is a hands-on delivery role, not an advisory seat. You'll work directly with client engineering teams to design, deploy, and support OpenShift Virtualization environments.

What You'll Do

  • Deploy and configure OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) in enterprise environments
  • Migrate VMs from legacy platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) to OpenShift using Migration Toolkit for Virtualization
  • Design cluster architecture, storage, and networking for virtualized workloads
  • Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and lifecycle issues across VMs and containers
  • Document configurations and hand off runbooks to client teams
  • Advise stakeholders on best practices for running VMs alongside containerized workloads

What You Bring

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Virtualization (EX316) - current and verifiable
  • 5+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering, with recent OpenShift experience
  • Strong background in enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere strongly preferred)
  • Solid Kubernetes fundamentals: networking, storage classes, operators
  • Experience leading migrations at scale, not just lab work
  • Clear communicator who can work independently with client teams

Nice to Have

  • RHCE or additional Red Hat certs
  • Experience with Ansible for automation
  • Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience
