Description

Are you looking for your next career move? We are currently looking for a Web Second Press Operator to join the Mittera family 2nd or 3rd Shift! Web Second Press Operators assist with the set up and operation of a printing press in coordination with the Press Operator and assists crew members on the press, ensuring each job is run according to customer specifications and meeting internal and external deadlines; maintains quality control and reduces waste or press downtime. Follows departmental regulations and procedures to process customer jobs through the Department on a timely basis and within specified quality standards. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain press and all auxiliary equipment while guiding a crew to meet and exceed production standards while maintaining customer quality requirements
  • Understand set-up and maintenance procedures for entire press
  • Assist supervisors in providing feedback for employee evaluations
  • Promote, enforce, and sustain safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous web press operation experience required
  • Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions
  • Must be able to interact and cooperate with press team members and show an enthusiastic/positive attitude
  • Must have ability to communicate (verbal/written) with press team members and all levels of management

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally
  • Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination
