Job Title: Cut-Off & Tube Mill Assistant | Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour | Schedule: 6am to 2pm with mandatory overtime

Job Description
Assist the Cut Off Operator and Tube Mill Operator in safely processing steel tubes, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout production. You will help with setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment, handling inventory, and packaging duties. Your role also includes following safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and ensuring that all materials are properly stored and labeled for easy identification.
Responsibilities:
• Understand and monitor emergency stops, pinch points, light curtains, and high-awareness concepts throughout the production line.
• Set up and maintain checklists for efficient operations.
• Handle and care for all banding and packaging tools and supplies.
• Ensure proper storage and tagging of tubes, and assist with cutting and staging wood and racks.
• Assist with tube blowouts, raft changes, and roll changes, and keep work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Ability to follow safety protocols and run equipment checks prior to operation.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage inventory locations using scanning systems.
• Basic understanding of mill operations and equipment setup.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred.
