MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - THIRD SHIFT
Elkhart, IN
3RD SHIFT – Monday – Friday 8:00PM – 4:00AM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Repair and/or replace electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized maintenance system
  • Knowledge of quality, reliability, scrap, and safety goals
  • Observing all site safety policies and procedures
  • Identification of potential machine, system, and component failures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of spare parts
  • Operate shop equipment including milling machine, band saw, drill press, lathe, welder, and electrical multimeter
  • Works together with Supervisors to resolve technical process issues
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance work areas
  • Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIRMENTS:
  • 2-5 years of “hands-on” Manufacturing Maintenance experience
  • Reads and interprets operating and maintenance instructions, instruction manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Qualified to perform basic electrical diagnostics and repairs
  • Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with PLC, robotics, and servo controls is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Works in non-climate-controlled production and warehouse operations environment with moderate noise levels, prolonged periods standing/walking ( gt;90% of the shift)
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb stairs
  • Must wear required PPE (head protection, gloves, safety glasses, ARC flash, etc.) in the designated areas or while performing the designated tasks
  • Compensation: $29.00 – $31.50 p/h (this includes the shift differential)
