The Machine Operator I–III (2nd & 3rd Shift) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing equipment during non-daytime hours. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining various machines to produce high-quality products that meet company standards. The role requires attention to detail to detect and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly, minimizing downtime and maintaining production schedules. Operators will collaborate with team members and supervisors to uphold safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the company’s manufacturing output and operational excellence during the 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing machinery.
  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift schedules reliably.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills related to machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints or manuals.
  • Certification in machine operation or related technical training.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manufacturing machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal functionality and prevent breakdowns.
  • Identify and report mechanical issues or defects promptly to maintenance teams for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with shift supervisors and team members.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment.
  • Assist in training new operators and support continuous improvement efforts on the production floor.

Attention to detail is essential for monitoring machine output and identifying any deviations or malfunctions early.
