The QA Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance throughout the production process. This hands‐on position is responsible for conducting product sampling, testing, and production line monitoring to verify that all products meet established quality standards and specifications. The QA Technician serves as a key resource on the production floor by supporting quality initiatives, tracking performance through the Redzone system, assisting with internal audits, and managing non‐conforming product processes. This role partners closely with production teams to identify opportunities for improvement while ensuring compliance with GMPs, food safety programs, and company standards. Schedule: This position works Monday- Friday 3rd Shift, 11:30pm-7:00am Pay: $23-25/hour What You Will Do: Perform testing and analysis throughout the shift on all production lines to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards, under the supervision of the Quality & Food Safety Manager. Assist the Quality & Food Safety team in conducting monthly plant inspections, including GMP walkthroughs and specific Glass & Brittle Plastic audits to mitigate contamination risks. Utilize the company's Redzone system to ensure that quality tasks are being completed on time and accurately. Assist with the non-conforming product program with a focus on internal defects, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting results to the Quality & Food Safety Manager. Ensure department tasks are done accurately and in a safe, timely fashion. Champion a culture of quality and safety by strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation protocols. Who You Are: Required: Two years of quality assurance in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing. 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food manufacturing. Familiarity with third‐party audit processes, such as AIB or similar food safety and quality audit programs. Experience with digital data entry systems, tablets/iPads, or manufacturing execution systems (MES); Redzone experience is a plus. Knowledge or training in root cause analysis tools, including the 5 Whys methodology. Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently follow and uphold quality, food safety, and production standards. Highly accountable, reliable, and curious with a commitment to continuous improvement. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across production and quality teams. Self‐directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to quality and safety standards. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Preferred: Certifications (HAACP and PCQI). Physical Requirements and Environmental Exposures: The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, in addition to the following: Able to work 8‐hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching. Must be able to work on your feet for over 9 straight hours. Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift. The environmental exposures for this position are: Airborne particles, fumes, high places, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, odors, high temperatures.
