Job Description:

MRI Technologist

MRI | Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | 3rd shift (8pm - 630am; Mon - Thurs) No Weekends, No Call

The MRI Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care throughout the imaging process. Working with limited supervision and reporting to imaging leadership, this role is responsible for producing accurate MRI images for radiologist interpretation, verifying patient identification and exam orders, following established imaging protocols, and continuously monitoring patients during procedures. The MRI Technologist utilizes EPIC and enterprise imaging systems to document and complete studies, ensuring images are available for timely review. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, assisting radiologists as needed, performing quality control procedures on MRI equipment, monitoring and restocking supplies and linens, and promptly reporting equipment issues to appropriate personnel. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care while supporting organizational values and departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
  • ARRT certification required within 90 days of hire
  • MRI Registry certification required (Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within 1 year)
  • BCLS certification within 90 days of hire
