Job description

Rock Spring Contracting, a drywall subcontractor with a focus on mission critical (data center) projects, is looking for an experienced drywall superintendent to manage projects in the DMV.


The Drywall Superintendent must have the ability to run multiple large commercial construction jobs and have knowledge and experience in data center build outs. This position will be responsible for working with the Project Managers in ensuring that a job runs smoothly day to day and providing on-site supervision and support to the Foremen running the jobs. The Success of the position will be determined by jobs being completed on time and on budget.


Essential Duties:

  • Develop good customer relationships to assure that you are the partner that helps drive the job with the General Contractor/customer or client. Effectively communicate with Project Superintendents and Management.
  • Determine, schedule and verify correct manpower for assigned jobs based on budget and schedule needs
  • Schedule appropriate manpower to ensure productivity is maximized and schedule durations are being met.
  • Assist PM staff in pricing RFIs and field changes
  • Employee management, recruitment and training
  • Assist Foremen with ensuring material is on-site to achieve the expected production
  • Assist Foremen in performing field take-offs and material verifications as needed to verify stud heights, field conditions and site-specific conditions.
