Job description

Paradigmworks Group Inc. is seeking dedicated and reliable Residential Advisors to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and structured living environment for our residential students and supporting their personal and academic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support students in the residential program during overnight hours
  • Foster a positive, respectful community that promotes student retention, achievement, and independence
  • Guide students in developing key life skills such as:
  • Waking up and preparing for the day
  • Maintaining personal hygiene and living areas
  • Time management and punctuality for class
  • Completing homework and laundry
  • Engaging in recreational and group activities
  • Use sound judgment and discretion to resolve student concerns and conflicts
  • Maintain detailed case notes and documentation of student interactions and behavior
  • Participate in seasonal cleaning and dormitory updates
  • Serve as a positive role model at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience working with teens or young adults
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant databases
  • Mature, dependable, and well-organized
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Additional Information:

  • Classified as essential staff by the Department of Labor
  • Must be punctual, remain awake and alert throughout the shift, and provide advance notice of absences
  • Includes two paid breaks and a one-hour unpaid meal break
