How You Will Add Value

The Business Development Preclinical/Clinical Solutions Senior Manager will be responsible for all US Preclinical and Clinical Solutions business and activities, including but not limited to expansion strategy, negotiation, and scoping future investment opportunities. The position incumbent will have full autonomy to target specific customer segments to accelerate new customer adoption.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary driver for introducing the US Preclinical and Clinical Solutions portfolio to prospective clients. Own the end-to-end process-from pricing proposals and strategic planning to client engagement and successful project delivery.
  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the preclinical and clinical services division, identifying new opportunities and markets for growth.
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities by building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in biotech, pharmaceutical, and CRO.
  • Sales Targets and Revenue Growth: Achieve revenue and business development targets by expanding the client portfolio and building long-term partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (project management, marketing, scientific experts & account managers) to ensure alignment of client needs with service offerings, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential clients in the preclinical and clinical space.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that align with company objectives while addressing client needs.
  • Customer Support: Deliver exceptional, high-level support to clients by ensuring their project requirements are met and addressing any concerns or challenges promptly to maintain strong and lasting relationships.
  • Attend Conferences and Networking Events: Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.

What you Will Bring

As this role involves consultative selling to Biotech/Pharma R&D teams and CMOs/CROs, a strong life sciences baseline is required to understand study designs, regulatory pathways, and translational science.

Education level:

  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree, with a PhD preferred.
  • Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering

Work Experience:

  • Total Professional Experience: 7-10+ years in life sciences, pharmaceutical services, contract research organizations (CROs), or biotechnology environments.
  • Business Development: 5+ years of consultative sales, key account management, or commercial growth roles selling complex CRO/scientific solutions.

Domain Expertise:

  • Experience selling early-stage preclinical services AND/OR clinical solutions
  • Proven track record of managing long, consultative sales cycles (6-18 months) involving cross-functional technical teams and procurement departments.
  • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding annual quota metrics (typically $3M - $10M+ in annual contract value
  • Demonstrated capability in drafting, negotiating, and closing Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • An active network of decision-makers within regional biotech hubs, pharmaceutical companies, academic research institutes.

Working conditions

  • A fully Remote (Work from Home) position.
  • Frequent business travel (anticipated to be around 50%).
  • Must have a valid US driver's license

United States Base Compensation: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00
