Job description

**Role: 3D Printer Operator

**

**Location: 1600 Central Ave, Roselle, IL 60172, United States

**

**Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Possibly extend - fulltime)

**Schedule: Monday to Friday - 6AM-2:30PM

**

**Pay Rate: $22.50/hr on W2.

**

**Experience:

**

  • Your primary role is to operate and maintain 3D printers.

  • This includes but is not limited to setting up and breaking down print setups, slicing parts, optimizing printer capacity, verifying quality, and meeting the demands of operations.

  • The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

**Essential Functions:

**โ€ข Slice STL models using common slicers.โ€ข Optimize printer capacity and print quality, balancing quality, and speed.โ€ข Operate 3D printers. Loading and unloading programs and material.โ€ข Maintain 3D printers, such as nozzle changes, hot end rebuilds and other general maintenance.โ€ข Perform finish operations on printed parts, such as sanding\filing, removing supports and adding inserts.โ€ข Provide system cost estimates for new printed partsโ€ข Ability to read a blueprint and quality check key dimensions.โ€ข Ability to utilize basic measurement tools (tape measure, calliper, and micrometre)โ€ข Ability to utilize common assembly tools (drills, hammers, and wrenches)โ€ข Strong mechanical aptitudeโ€ข Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to 6S principals.โ€ข Additional duties as required

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

**Education:

**Associate degree or equivalent work experience

**Experience / Abilities:

**โ€ข Minimum of 1-4 yearsโ€™ experience โ€ข Experience in development or technical support of industrial equipment a plusโ€ข Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics requiredโ€ข Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

**Computer skills:

**โ€ข Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Navision ERPโ€ข Experience in SharePoint, Prusa Slicer, Mark forged Eiger or similar is required

**

You should be proficient in:
