Job description

Attention Industrial Designers and creative CAD Designers. ExpoDisplays, Method-1 Interiors, and Warner Museums are once again expanding and adding to our Design Department. We design, fabricate and install some of the most innovative and award-winning trade show exhibits, commercial interiors, and museums in the industry in our 140,000 square foot facility in East Birmingham.

Our "Production Designers" create accurate construction documents and assembly instructions to help the Production Department perform at a top rate of accuracy, efficiency, and speed. This position is also responsible for improving product quality while decreasing costs and production times by finding better materials and production methods. The best part is that almost 100% of what we do is custom so you're not going to get bored of doing the same thing over and over.

'Thinking outside of the box' is an everyday occurrence, and our focus is on research, planning and accuracy. Highly effective communication is important as this position is responsible for the dissemination of information between the clients, sales, design team, and our production and exhibit management departments. You have to be a team player as we work in a highly collaborative manner.

Each and every project is team based, so seeking input and reviewing the steps with the entire project team is critical to success. We use Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace. You should be proficient with all of these or similar software packages.

Almost everything we build is made from wood, so experience designing cabinets and other woodworking experience are a huge plus. If you aren't familiar with Autodesk Inventor, proficiency in Solidworks, Fusion360 or similar 3D modeling software is acceptable. We offer competitive compensation packages, a fun place to work, and a comprehensive benefits package including a liberal PTO policy, Blue Cross health insurance, dental and vision plans, and a 401K plan with employer match.

If you think this might sound like a good opportunity for you, please send in your resume and fill out an application and let's see where it goes. Department: Production Design This is a non-management position
