Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

This role focuses on leading the mechanical design, development, and production of critical defense hardware systems and components. The position requires a strong blend of mechanical hardware design expertise, system integration skills, and hands-on experience supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements while maintaining high-quality technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of hardware systems and components using CREO (Creo Parametric).
  • Support the end-to-end product lifecycle, including concept development, detailed design, system integration, testing, and production support.
  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, systems, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure successful integration of mechanical hardware into larger systems.
  • Perform production troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hardware issues to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that mechanical designs meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements throughout the development and production phases.
  • Participate actively in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve design quality and robustness.
  • Maintain strong technical documentation, including design records, engineering reports, and configuration control of mechanical hardware.

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on hardware design and development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
