Busy Mechanical HVAC construction company looking for experienced and motivated individual for Mechanical Drafter position.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year, Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Review and utilize contract documents and drawings to prepare 3D construction layout drawings using Revit MEP.
Review contract amendments and change orders to detect and respond to work scope changes.
Review, assist, and track contract submittals and RFIs to ensure contract compliance.
Visit job sites as necessary to verify measurements, work scope, equipment, and field conditions.
Attend Coordination Meetings, Generate Revit Coordination Drawings, and using Navisworks to detect and resolve issues.
Work with PM Team and Trade Super & Steamfitters Team to maximize functionality and ensure efficiency.
Create accurate Shop & Fabrication Drawings for Mechanical systems following company standards and work methodologies.
Create Bill of Materials to support Purchasing, Resource Allocation, and Budget Planning.
Track multiple project schedules, provide drafting status, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of Drafting experience in Mechanical Construction / Piping Steamfitting trade.
Must be comfortable using Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD for 3D Coordinations.
Must have strong background in Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to work in a multi-task environment.
Must be detail oriented and have time management and problem solving skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of construction documentatation protocols and processes.
Understanding of other MEP trades to ensure best Coordination and Collaboration.
Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel to jobsite locations for field verification & coordination meetings.
Field Experience as Steamfitter / Mechanical Installer is a PLUS.
Experience with public construction agencies such as NYCSCA, DDC, NYCHA, DASNY, MTA is a PLUS.
