Help Bring Residential Design Ideas to Life Through Drawings & 3D Visualization

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Freelance Draftsman & 3D Designer to support our team remotely. This role is ideal for a creative professional who enjoys transforming concepts into accurate architectural drawings and realistic 3D visualizations that help clients see their projects before construction begins.


As our go-to design partner, you will help update existing plans, create high-quality renderings, and bring residential spaces to life through digital design. This is a flexible, project-based opportunity for a freelancer looking for consistent work and the ability to collaborate with a U.S.-based team.


Responsibilities
  • Update, modify, and refine existing 2D architectural drawings, floor plans, and elevations
  • Create realistic 3D renderings for residential projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, interiors, and exteriors
  • Transform sketches, field measurements, and design concepts into accurate digital plans
  • Prepare files in standard formats such as PDF, DWG, SketchUp, and RVT
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based project managers and team members through clear communication
  • Make design revisions based on project feedback and client needs
  • Deliver accurate work while meeting project deadlines and quality expectations

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in residential architectural drafting and 3D visualization
  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous 2D drawings and residential 3D renderings (required)
  • Proficiency with design software such as:
  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Chief Architect
  • Revit
  • Lumion
  • Similar architectural design/rendering programs
  • Experience with 2020 Kitchen Design Software
  • Lumion experience is highly preferred and would be a strong advantage
  • Understanding of U.S. residential construction methods, terminology, and remodeling standards is a plus
  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection, personal workstation, and access to required software licenses
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage deadlines independently

Pay & Work Structure
  • Pay: $7 - $10/hour based on experience
  • Position Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor (1099 equivalent)
  • Schedule: Flexible remote hours based on project needs and deadlines
  • Work Environment: Fully remote with project-based assignments and ongoing collaboration
