Job description

New Jersey Billing Solutions is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our growing team. This is a remote position with a consistent weekday schedule. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that supports healthcare providers across New Jersey and beyond.

Applicants must reside on the East Coast of the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Complete insurance verifications for new and returning patients
Collect copayments and maintain accurate payment records
Prepare insurance claims accurately for review and submission by the Account Manager
Communicate professionally with insurance companies as needed
Maintain up-to-date documentation and records in our billing software

Qualifications

Prior experience with medical billing or insurance verification strongly preferred
Familiarity with commercial and Medicaid insurance plans is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable with spreadsheets, electronic systems, and online payer portals
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote setting
Must be available to work Monday through Friday, either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)
