Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position ofHeadache Medicine Neurologist in the Department of Neurological Sciences and Division of Headache Medicine and Neuro-ophthalmology.

Department and Department Specifics:

  • Collaboration with the General Neurology team and 6 academic clinical neurologists with Headache Medicine expertise

  • Our Neurology and Neurosurgery program is currently ranked 5th in U.S. & World News for specialty programs

  • Rush has made a commitment to significantly grow the already robust neuroscience program and footprint regionally and nationally, including with a new ambulatory building that opened in 2023

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient and Outpatient Care at our downtown campus

  • Grow our outpatient Headache Medicine practice

  • Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at Rush University Medical Center

  • The department also boasts a strong research infrastructure allowing faculty to thrive in their research pursuits, currently our division has multiple funded research projects in various areas of focus

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency, Eligibility in ABPN in General Neurology and UCNS in Headache Medicine

  • Fellowship training in Headache Medicine

  • Hold medical licensure in IL (or can obtain IL License)

  • Eligibility for a faculty appointment as assistant professor or level commensurate with their experience and accomplishments

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $267,000 - $360,000
