Software Engineering Execution Lead

Location: Beaverton, OR

Hybrid: In office 3 days a week

Organization: Software Products & Solutions

We are seeking a senior Software Engineering Execution Lead to play a critical role in strengthening execution discipline, improving delivery predictability across our global software engineering teams while also facilitating customer adoption of software products and solutions.

This role partners closely with Engineering leadership, Product Management, Product Owners, Architects and Program Management Office to drive strategy-to-execution alignment across multiple concurrent software programs and platforms, owning orchestration across interdependent workstreams, proactively removing impediments and enabling continuous improvements across the organization.

This role also serves as a critical connection point to Tektronix field organization, ensuring adoption of compliance software products, reducing deployment friction, and bringing in customer insights into actionable engineering priorities.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience orchestrating large-scale software programs, aligning cross-geo engineering teams, product line leaders, architects and ecosystem partners, and embedding high-discipline delivery practices into engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering Execution & Release Governance

  • Strengthen execution rigor across compliance software development programs Orchestrate delivery across cross-functional distributed engineering teams, ensuring clarity on priorities, risks, and dependencies.
  • Partner with engineering managers, principal engineers, technical leads, and product owners to streamline workflows, and accelerate software NPI delivery.
  • Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks across development, validation, release readiness.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in accelerating AI adoption for engineering efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with PMO on engineering health dashboards including metrics for velocity, reliability, validation coverage, and AI acceleration to enable data-driven decision making.

Field & Customer Enabling

  • Act as a trusted execution and technical liaison between engineering teams, the field and customers. Support customer deployments, pilots, and escalations in partnership with engineering and field teams.
  • Translate customer and field insights into concrete execution improvements, roadmap adjustments, and SDLC enhancements.

Organizational Enablement & a Culture of Executing with Urgency

  • Lead through influence to embed execution best practices, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen cross-team collaboration, communication, and operational discipline across the software organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical program leadership, including delivering products to customers.
  • Proven ability to lead execution across large-scale, global, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of Agile development, SDLC, CI/CD, automation, validation, and observability.
  • Proven ability to lead execution through influence, partnering closely with engineering leadership rather than owning direct people management.
  • Experience with engineering tools such as Jira, GitHub, and engineering analytics platforms.
  • Experience working in software-led environments that interface with hardware platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong background in platform, performance, or AI-enabled software systems.
  • Prior experience in modernizing legacy software stacks and tools and customer support and enabling
  • Experience with performance or test and measurement engineering workflows.

Pay Range The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 123,800 - 230,000
