Job description

Eaton's Electrical Sector - ARS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor overseeing 2nd Shift. This is an onsite role based at our Lincoln, IL manufacturing facility supporting our Residential & Wiring Devices products. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US. The hours for this position will be 3pm - 12am Monday - Friday.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. You will supervise your team and any activities related to new equipment installation, modifications, and improvement projects. You will coordinates third-party contractors and vendors, manages spare parts inventory, and leads the maintenance planning process to support safety, uptime, productivity, and operational performance.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
  • Manage maintenance and repair activities for plant equipment and machinery, including effective use of the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and prepare reports to track productivity, OEE, and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate external vendors and contractors for equipment repairs, abnormal maintenance, and project support, ensuring contractor safety training and required insurance documentation are completed and maintained.
  • Manage the assigned maintenance budget, including labor, parts, outside services, equipment needs, and expense forecasting.
  • Maintain an effective preventive maintenance program for all machines and equipment, including accurate PM records, performance review, and recommendations to improve equipment reliability and OEE.
  • Manage the tool crib and ensure adequate inventory of replacement and repair parts, including procurement support and inventory control practices.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance staff, including new hires, apprentices, and trainees.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, safe work practices, and required maintenance standards at all times.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews, monitor staff performance, and remain current with advancements in equipment, software, and maintenance techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by verifying that equipment and processes meet applicable requirements and initiating safety reviews for new or modified processes and equipment.
  • Support compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and MESH requirements, including ownership or champion responsibilities for assigned elements.

Qualifications:
Basic (required) Qualifications:
  • Technical certification in maintenance or Associate's degree in technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of technical maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • One (1) year of experience as a lead, supervisor, or manager of people.
  • One (1) year of experience utilizing a maintenance management system or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience working in a union environment
  • Five (5) or more years of maintenance experience working in manufacturing operations including production/machine support.
