Position Title: Production Supervisor                    

Reporting into Title: Operations Manager

Position Purpose/Summary: The Production Supervisor manages work processes and associates within the Department on designated shifts.

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables

An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

All duties as assigned and the following specific activities.

  • Enforce Hazardous Material Handling Procedures and oversee Initial and Annual Training
  • Manage and supervise all production associates 
    • Execute the schedule to keep all production lines running to meet customer needs
    • Responsible for the work flow and developing the (line leads) to take ownership of the line.
    • Monitor change-over’s and set-up’s to reduce down-time
    • Exercise team attitude with peers on alternate shifts to ensure they have a smooth shift start
    • Support cGMP by holding associates to required standards
    • Monitor training to make sure new hires, temps, and department transfers understand their responsibility.
  • Able to diagnose and correct problems within department and communicate issues cross functionally
  • Change agent to support strategic initiatives around safety, quality, cost and on time service
  • Responsible for executing Performance Evaluations for department associates.
  • Expected to be exposed to/trained in handling hazardous materials with annual refresher training.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities 

Education: High School Degree or GED Equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisor role
  • Minimum of 4 years working in a manufacturing environment

Technology/Software:

  • Moderate PC and ERP capabilities

Communication:       

    • Communication skills in English.  Spanish as a 2nd language preferred.
  • Strong motivating and team building skills (mentoring and coaching)

Physical Capabilities

Strength: Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.

Movement: Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling

Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment

Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
