Job description

Work Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday: Normal business hours 40 hours per week

Position Purpose:
BCI Reno is looking for a qualified teammate who values taking pride in their work, enjoys a team environment, and strives to be the best. On this team, you will be responsible for assisting all activities associated with safely operating equipment; including, but not limited to setup, operation, and cleanup.
Main Duties:
• Full-time role in a manufacturing plant/warehouse setting
• Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
• Operate printing presses and/or die cutters to make a variety of corrugated products
• Monitor product quality and ensure that the quality control systems are being utilized properly
• Drive production and efficiency of assigned machine center
Additional Duties:
• Record production statistics within our ERP system
• Become knowledgeable of paper properties, setting up a press and managing colors
• Maintain machine to ensure all preventative maintenance has been completed by the scheduled time
• Ensure that equipment is clean and organized
• Ensure that all safety guards are in place and operate properly on the machine
• Assist in training new associates to safely perform their duties in the most efficient way possible while upholding the highest quality standards
• Recommend changes in methods, equipment, material handling and similar projects for improvements in efficiencies or standards of practice
• Promote morale and wellness of Crew Members
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

• Machine operator or other manufacturing operator experience preferred

• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
• Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
