Marine Detail and Prep Associate โ€“ Boats (Sales & Service)

Victory Boat Sales โ€“ Tacoma, WA
$18 โ€“ $24 an hour (DOE)
Full-Time / Part-Time


Job Summary

Victory Boat Sales is hiring a dependable Detailer / Lot Porter to join our team. This position is split between detailing boats for sale and assisting in our service shop, with additional lot porter responsibilities as needed.

This is a hands-on, active role working around boats every day in a fast-paced marine dealership environment.

The schedule includes weekends. Ideally, Wednesday through Sunday, but can be negotiable on which days of the week. The ideal schedule would include 8am to 3:30pm on weekdays, and 10am to 4pm on weekend days. Weekends would occasionally include other times in order to assist with delivery or sea trial of a boat.

ResponsibilitiesBoat Detailing / Sales Prep (50%)
  • Clean, wash, and detail boats for sale and delivery

  • Perform interior and exterior detailing (washing, waxing, polishing, basic restoration)

  • Prepare boats for showroom display and customer delivery

  • Ensure all units meet dealership presentation standards

Service Shop Support (50%)
  • Assist technicians with basic shop tasks and boat movement

  • Clean and detail boats entering and leaving service and sales

  • Move boats in/out of service bays safely

  • Help maintain a clean and organized shop environment

Lot Porter Duties
  • Move, stage, and park boats using trucks and trailers (if qualified)

  • Keep dealership lot organized and presentable

  • Support inventory flow between lot, shop, and showroom

Requirements
  • Valid driverโ€™s license

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate trucks, trailers, forklifts, and boats

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to lift, bend, and stay physically active throughout the day

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude

  • Can do attitude and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Marine, RV, or auto detailing experience

  • Boaters license

  • Shop or mechanical background

  • Forklift or trailer experience

  • Marine industry familiarity
