What’s a typical day as Machine Operator? You’ll be:
  • Receiving finished plastic sheeting from the extruder and creating neatly stacked pallets
  • Marking sheet counts and completing replacement of rolls of tape, protective covering, barcodes, and other materials
  • Performing Light Transmission and Product Control tests, making necessary corrections
  • Conducting length/width and pallet changes, silo setup, and operation of raw materials
  • Assisting with color changes, basic machine maintenance and cleaning, start up and shut down procedures, and thickness changes
  • Completing yellow tagging procedures and documentation
  • Carrying out other duties and activities as directed
