Overview

Position Type Full Time

Description

We are seeking a full-time, board-certified trained Pain Management Physician to join our team at OAA Orthopaedic Specialists located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. As a provider of pain management services, you will join a large multi-specialty orthopaedic group. We are dedicated to helping patients find relief from chronic pain and improve their quality of life. In addition to providing comprehensive clinical services, OAA offers a unique opportunity for a physician to market and grow a legendary practice while developing and advancing the pain management specialty.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive pain management services to patients
  • Conduct patient consultations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Perform non-surgical and surgical treatments to include epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks and neurostimulation
  • Prescribe and manage medication regimens for pain relief
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement holistic treatment plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients on pain management techniques and self-care strategies
  • Travel as necessary between our satellite offices
  • No call Schedules

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Residency in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • ACGME accredited Fellowship training in Pain Medicine
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with a Pain Medicine fellowship
  • Valid PA state medical license to practice as a Pain Management Physician
  • Proficiency in various pain management techniques, including interventional procedures and medication management
  • Experience in patient care and assessment in the field of pain management
  • Knowledge of coding and documentation requirements for accurate billing and reimbursement
  • Familiarity with occupational health regulations and guidelines
