Lead Preschool Teacher
Location: The Learning Experience – Newark, DE
Pay: $17–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Lead Preschool Teacher – Prepare Children for Kindergarten Success
The Learning Experience – Newark is looking for an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom where children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten and beyond.
As the classroom leader, you'll create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, independence, and confidence while fostering a warm, supportive environment for every child.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a preschool classroom and provide daily instruction using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  • Promote early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through hands-on learning
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
  • Mentor Assistant Teachers and promote collaboration within the classroom
  • Observe children's progress and communicate regularly with families
  • Ensure compliance with Delaware licensing regulations and center policies
  • Partner with center leadership to maintain the highest standards of educational quality
Qualifications
  • Delaware TECE I and TECE II credentials required

  • Previous preschool teaching or classroom leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
