Job description

Construction Equipment Mechanic – JCB / Heavy Equipment

Location: Odessa, Texas
Schedule: 14 Days On / 7 Days Off
Pay: Competitive Pay + Overtime Opportunities
Housing: Company Housing Available

We are looking for an experienced Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Odessa, TX. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience servicing and repairing JCB equipment and other construction and heavy equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a dependable mechanic looking for competitive compensation, consistent overtime opportunities, company-provided housing, and a predictable 14/7 schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain construction and heavy equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Service and repair JCB equipment, including loaders, excavators, backhoes, telehandlers, and related equipment
  • Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel engine issues
  • Perform field repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns as needed
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Work safely and follow company and job-site safety procedures
  • Coordinate with operators and supervisors to identify equipment issues and minimize downtime
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a heavy equipment, construction equipment, or diesel mechanic
  • Strong experience with JCB equipment highly preferred
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment efficiently and accurately
  • Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be dependable and safety-minded
  • Oilfield, construction, or heavy-equipment field experience is a plus
