Wallstreet Sand Co. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Board Operator to oversee and control plant operations at our frac sand mining and processing facility in Kermit, Texas. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and consistent production by monitoring equipment, adjusting processes, and coordinating with field operators.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate plant equipment from the control room (HMI/SCADA systems)
  • Start up, shut down, and adjust plant processes to maintain production targets
  • Communicate with field operators, maintenance, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
  • Identify and respond to alarms, process upsets, and abnormal conditions
  • Make process adjustments to optimize throughput, quality, and efficiency
  • Complete production logs, shift reports, and other required documentation
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues
  • Support maintenance activities by coordinating lockout/tagout and system readiness
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a board operator, plant operator, or control room operator preferred
  • Experience in frac sand, mining, aggregate, or industrial processing environments strongly preferred
  • Basic mechanical understanding of conveyors, screens, dryers, and material handling systems
  • Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and long hours
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for monitoring systems and reporting

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring systems
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment with noise, dust, and temperature variations
