Yorkville CUSD 115 is looking for a home-bound tutor to assist an 11th Grade student in a home-bound setting. The tutor's primary responsibility is to ensure the student's academic progress is maintained while they are unable to attend school due to a medical condition.
This position is paid at $32.00 per hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements of job functions are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to the position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Actual job functions may vary depending upon assignments and other factors.
  • Work in collaboration with the student's classroom teachers and the school to get and deliver assignments and instructional materials.
  • Provide direct one-on-one instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies, and science.
  • Help the student complete assigned work and prepare for any assessment.
  • Document instructional hours and maintain regular communication with the school's designated contact.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educators License
