Location: Hilo, Hawaii 96720
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8 & 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights)
Schedule: Rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
Start Date: Start date is typically within approximately 2 weeks after offer acceptance and completion of onboarding/credentialing requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract opportunity in Hilo, Hawaii. The RN will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for adult behavioral health patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support safe, patient-centered outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor behavioral health patients.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Document accurately within the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Perform Charge Nurse duties when assigned.
- Maintain patient safety using crisis prevention techniques.
- Active Hawaii RN License required by assignment start date (candidates without a Hawaii license may apply upon offer acceptance but must obtain licensure before starting).
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current NCI or other approved Crisis Prevention certification.
- Experience working with adult psychiatric patients.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
