Production Manager - starting at $100K annually DOE!

This position is a direct hire opportunity!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Production Manager for our manufacturing client to immediately starting at $100k/annually DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!
Responsibilities: 
The Production Manager oversees production-related communication, coordination, and execution across plant resources. This role is accountable for staffing, production output, quality, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling, cost control, safety, housekeeping, and overall plant financial performance.

  • Lead, supervise, and develop production department personnel.
  • Establish production priorities and clearly communicate daily activities, expectations, and objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, materials, engineering, human resources, and other plant functions to optimize production performance.
  • Ensure effective utilization of employees, machinery, equipment, and other production resources.
  • Implement and maintain operating methods and procedures that resolve production issues, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support company policies, workforce planning, and headcount management in alignment with budget and sales requirements.
  • Manage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including employee training, work assignments, performance evaluations, coaching, recognition, corrective action, complaint resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Adjust production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures, material constraints, staffing concerns, or other operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on equipment modifications, process improvements, and new product or production-line launches.
  • Lead special projects and continuous-improvement initiatives as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Maintain frequent communication with plant leadership, corporate support teams, Quality Assurance, and production personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements and promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Manage departmental hiring and performance management activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Portage, IN

Schedule/Shift Details: Split shift. 

  • Overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management, a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience required.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, performance-management, and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to address production, quality, equipment, and staffing challenges.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with employees at all levels, as well as customers and suppliers.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and production-related systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable workplace safety requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business and production needs while maintaining confidentiality.

Work Environment:

  • This position works regularly in both an office environment and on the plant floor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently walk, stand, kneel, crouch, communicate, and hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Maintain close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
