Job description

IOWA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD - TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION
This position is open to current on-board Title 5 and Title 32 employees of the Iowa Army National Guard. Military membership is required.
LOCATION: G6, Johnston, IAQualifications:In describing your experience, please be clear and specific. We will not make assumptions regarding your experience. Applicants who do not fully address the minimum/specialized experience needed for the position in their resume will not be referred for consideration. Your resume must contain your own words. Resumes that are verbatim, from this announcement, any PD's, or any other applicants will not be considered.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: GS-0343-9: Must haveexperience in the following:
  • 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
  • Experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management.
Education:Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience -
Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
