Registered Nurse (RN) – Charge NurseJob Title:

Registered Nurse (RN) – Charge Nurse

Department:

SECOND WEST (2W)

Full Time/PRN:

Full Time

Job Summary

Provides high‑quality nursing care; supervises/coordinates LPNs and CNAs; ensures regulatory compliance and safe operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current RN license; strong communication/documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Leadership/preceptor experience preferred.

• BLS or ACLS certification.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit workflow; rounds and oversight.

• Perform/oversee assessments and documentation.

• Staff education and consultation; medication safety.

• Risk prevention; communicate with residents/families.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.

• Assist with patient repositioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.

• Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
