Job description

Role: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Polaris Office, Columbus, OH (On-site)

Required Visa: & GC

Experience: 5+ years (typically 5 7 years for this level)

Interview Process: 2 Zoom rounds, scheduled during U.S. morning hours and may include an India-based interviewer

Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Java Full Stack Developer to support and enhance a globally used, business-critical React application within JPMorgan Chase. This application is already in production and is used by employees across all lines of business worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across both Java/Spring Boot and React, with a proven track record of working on large-scale production applications. The role involves continuous enhancements, secure code development, troubleshooting, production support, scalability improvements, and collaboration with distributed engineering teams in India and Columbus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain full-stack features using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Oracle.
  • Support a large-scale production application through enhancements, upgrades, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-quality code for enterprise applications.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions while working within established engineering constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with India-based and Columbus-based teams to deliver reliable software releases.
  • Monitor application stability, identify root causes of production issues, and implement preventive solutions.
  • Contribute to release management, production deployments, and ongoing system reliability efforts.
  • Work in an AI-assisted development environment, including tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of overall software engineering experience.
  • Strong recent hands-on experience with Java.
  • Proven expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem for building production back-end services.
  • Hands-on experience with React for front-end development.
  • Full-stack development experience across both UI and back-end components.
  • Experience supporting production applications, including enhancements, troubleshooting, releases, and stability improvements.
  • Strong understanding of secure, scalable engineering, code quality, architecture, and debugging.
  • Experience with Oracle or another enterprise relational database, including strong SQL/RDBMS skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Columbus, OH, 5 days per week.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams, particularly India-based teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-enterprise or high-scale production applications with global reach.
  • Exposure to AWS or AWS SDKs (helpful but not required).
  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience creating or contributing to architecture and design artifacts.
