Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY


The Quality Inspector will visually inspect electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists, and power supplies.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Visually inspect electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists and power supplies to ensure that they
meet outlined specifications and quality standards that have been set forth.
Record and publish results of Factory Acceptance Test performed as well as feedback from
production line.
Work with Production and Quality Engineer to ensure product quality.
Provide input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job.
Repair items that can be reworked to ensure that they are in stockable condition.
Work with purchasing to ensure that suppliers are notified of issues with product that we have
received.
Work with materials to restock items that are deemed acceptable or that have been repaired.
Inspect returned hoists to determine what can be stocked on them when they are returned.
Enter all relevant transactions in SAP.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:


Ability to effectively manage time, resolve problems, and make sound decisions.
Ability to address multiple issues at the same time and work well under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have an advanced understanding of all products and components to be able to
troubleshoot units and be able to break down parts into stockable condition.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must possess good PC skills. SAP
High attention to detail with the ability to read drawings and understand technical guides.
Well-developed computer skills; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
SAP experience preferred.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Must have a minimum of 2 years related experience in a fast-paced environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to operate a lift truck.
