Job Title: Electrical Technician II
Location: 1101 Beech Road SW, New Albany, OH 43054
Duration: 6 months – Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $31.00/hr (W2)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
 
Job Summary
Seeking an Electrical Technician II to support operations and maintenance at a New Albany, OH facility. This role involves intermediate-level electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, power distribution, UPS systems, generators, control systems, and monitoring equipment. Responsible for prioritizing work, completing tasks on schedule, and maintaining documentation. Supports site engineering teams with all electrical needs.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot facility electrical systems from 24V to 480V AC.
  • Work safely near high-voltage systems (up to 13.8kV).
  • Support electrical expansion projects and critical infrastructure systems (servers, network equipment, PLCs, SCADA, access control).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and sequence of operations.
  • Follow NFPA 70e and all Federal, State, and Local electrical codes.
  • Identify safety issues and conduct independent equipment evaluations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance using CMMS.
  • Provide customer service and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Use diagnostic and testing instruments to support energy efficiency efforts.
  • Operate hand tools, diagnostic hardware, and laptops for technical work.
  • Maintain schedules while remaining flexible to customer needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–4 years of electrician experience in a data center, industrial, hospital, or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work from aerial/scissor lifts up to 30 ft.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • May require a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a site security badge.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, or alternative schedules as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist movements.
  • Must distinguish wire color coding.
  • Able to read documents and use computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in meetings and discussions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
Special Requirements
  • Must wear PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, etc.).
  • Ability to work under stress while maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience working around chemicals, precision equipment, and regulated materials.
  • Experience using micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and calipers.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs.
