Barista- Opener, Mornings & Weekends

Are you a morning person who loves coffee & chocolate? We’re looking for friendly, professional Baristas to help open our day and keep our shop running smoothly.

As a Barista at Winans Coffee & Chocolate, you’ll be the heart of our morning rush—welcoming customers, preparing delicious drinks with care, and helping maintain the high standards our guests expect. You’ll report to the Lead Baristas and Store Manager, support daily operations, and contribute to a positive, community-oriented store environment.

• Previous barista experience not required

• Excellent customer service, with a genuine passion for creating a welcoming experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and stay organized during both high- and low-volume periods

• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality in food and beverage preparation

• Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to pass a criminal background check

• Ability and willingness to follow the Winans dress code and grooming standards

• Strictly non-smoking workplace: employees must refrain from tobacco and vaping use while on-site

• Local to the Marysville area with reliable transportation.

• Warmly welcome guests with a friendly, mission-driven attitude and help create a welcoming Winans experience.
• Prepare espresso, coffee, and blended drinks with care, accuracy, and great taste (training available).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service, including counters, equipment, and restrooms. Everyone does their part to meet this expectation.
• Stock and organize ingredients and supplies to keep lines moving smoothly during busy mornings and weekends.
• Follow Winans standards for drink quality, portions, and presentation.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver friendly service during peak weekend hours.
• Communicate clearly with the next shift to ensure a seamless handoff and continued readiness.
• Be willing to learn and improve your barista skills.
• Be available mornings to early afternoon on several weekdays and available on weekends.
