Title
CVOR RN - Cardiac/Vascular Nursing
Schedule
- 2x8 and 2x12 model (shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM)
- Call required (weekday call begins at 7:00 PM; weekend call in 12-hour blocks)
- Must be flexible; hours assigned based on unit needs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years overall OR experience
- 2+ years dedicated cardiac and vascular experience (transplant experience also required)
- At least 1 year CVOR experience
- At least 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS/NIH
- Charting system: EPIC required
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a cardiac/vascular operating room setting.
- Collaborate with surgical and support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Participate in training and orientation of new staff as necessary.
Compliance / Notes
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately after booking
- RNs must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission
- Two professional references required (one from a manager/director)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Return to office (RTO) required with submission; locals accepted at the same rate
